Valkyrie needs food...badly.

Guantlet anyone? A tribute to THE game of old school games. Although hard as hell, it led to hours of entertainment. Did it even have an ending? Maybe I should dust off my PS2 copy and find out. Archer was the best character!

Can't see the Forest...

I'm not one to colour my work, just for the simple fact that I need practice w/my colour skills. But I thought I'd give it a go. This is the coloured version of an old sketch I did a while back. I may try different styles if I have time.

Four Walls

My studio is complete! Well almost... Over the last few months I have been finishing my basement to build "dino damage studios". I have been waiting years to have a personal space to work and am super happy with the outcome. Although it's still not big enough for all my stuff...

Of course the walls had to be orange (my fav colour). The drafting table will be replaced with a table for my computer once I have time for a trip to Ikea. I will hang those giant frames, but will replace the Star Wars posters with other art. Or just replace the frames. They are too big for the posters. BTW... that animation table is an official desk from Walt Disney Studios Toronto. I got an amazing deal on that thing, but it weighs a ton!

Here's a few of my favourite things in the studio. MOTU figures, Transformers: Robot Heroes, Yeah, that's Spiderman on my ceiling, jar of Battle Beasts (remember those?), Star Wars Lego collection (still a ton more to put together), part of my library, Creech (best sculpt), corkboard with various images, Harley Quinn I drew years ago and still like. Usually I hate everything I draw the next day.

I hope you enjoyed the tour but now it's time to get to work!

New Arrival!

I would like to announce the arrival of our second child Kayden to the world. He entered the world on Sept 24, 2008 @ 8:22 am. As you can see, he is off to a good start. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle...

Fan Expo 2008

Well the Expo has wrapped up for another year and let me tell you it was a blast! It was an experience being on the other side of the table this year. I was able to talk to a lot of people. I saw some old friends and made some new ones. Thanks to everyone who stopped by. I think I have a couple of fans (extra thanks to them)!

So now it's back to the real world...but I'll be back next year, with a few new surprises! I'll keep posting and don't forget to check out my "Deviant" site. Thanks again, take care, keep in touch, and remember... "dino damage" is on the loose!

S...NEAKERS

So here's a little promotion for my sister. Normally she does abstract paintings, but I convinced her to do logo paints. They turned out amazing! Here are a few samples. Because the glaze on them messes with the scans, the originals are way nicer. They will be for sale at the expo. Way to go sis!

Heads High

These are thumbnails of sketches I plan to do for the Expo. I'm on a Star Wars kick due to the new CG "Clone Wars" movie. I'll be doing other popular characters too and taking requests.

Girls Girls Girls

In regards to the Fan Expo this year, I will also be selling sketchbooks. Here's a sample page. Look but don't touch! If you can make it to the expo, come visit me. I'll be in "Artist Alley".

Trap-Jaw

A throwback to the 80's! When all the best cartoons were aired. These were done using the toy sculpt from the Four Horsemen as reference.

The Creech

This is one of my favourite character designs. Massive creature with a bit of technology and tentacles! What's not to love. My favourite toy sculpt as well.

Pose Book

A while back I took the time to create a "comic pose library" for myself. For months I just copied great poses from my comic collection. It helps when I need quick reference or inspiration and saves me time. There has been a bit of interest about said library, so I packed it into a book!

I will be selling copies at the Toronto Fan Expo this year (Aug 22-24), among other things. Here's a taste...

Tric Bites

Sketches for my logo. Does it read as a "bite mark" in his stomach? I wasn't sure if I should keep the ribs or not. It could change in the future...

The Abomination

Here's what the final design of the unit cards look like with a sketch in place (Undead colours). You can see all four designs at my other site for finished works (see link above).

Warcraft...a new chapter!

So I have found myself interested in tabletop games recently. More in design than actual play. I've been working on my own version of Warcraft. Mechanics and art is all me. It's taken me a while to get the gameplay to work, but I think it's good to go (after many revisions). Now I am focused on the artwork. Here are the first sketches for the unit cards.

Note: Fantasy Flight Games has already developed and released a Warcraft game, but mine is more unit specific. Besides, it's just for interest sake!
